Latest update: I was able finally to repair the unit. I found that the self-calibration didn’t go through because the LED source for self-test of the photomultiplier didn’t flash. One of the the leads of the led was broken, but luckily still long enough to solder it to back the wire. The repair was ...

Having at least the manual will be really a help, if I can run the diagnostics I may have some hints.
