In my crystals is also a crystal with a yellow color. Now I wanted to see if it still works.
Here the two spectra with a clear and the yellow crystal.
Only scrap !

Nice test, you can see clearly that a yellow crystal is still working but the light output is lower, the peaks are lower and shifted to the left and the low energies are absorbed by the oxidation and are nearly gone.
But scrap ? I don’t think so, the crystal is still usable as a counter, than it will work almost as good as a dry crystal.
