GS-1100-PRO - What will I see on the voltage meter?

Post by trigatronix » 06 Mar 2017, 22:49

Hello!
Please let me know what will I see on GS-1100-PRO voltage meter - output voltage from the voltage converter or actual voltage on my detector? In the unit there should be a load resistor which will cause difference in voltage between output of HV converter and output connector.
Thank you!

Alexander,

Yes there is a load resistor in the GS-1100-Pro, so you need to consider this as part of your voltage divider, meaning the actual voltage on the PMT may be somewhat less than what it says on the display.

When I calibrate the display I use a 1 G Ohm divider, so if your divider os only 10M Ohm then the voltage on the pmt might be V = n(10/11)V

PS: Please change your username or add a signature in the footer, so we know who you are when you post, I had to look up your name in the introductions forum.

Thanks..

Steven
