Hi,
Currently i'm seriously thinking to buy a used HPGE (High Purity Germanium Detectors). A trusted source offers me a detector with devar for just 1.8k$ - working of course.
I wonder if it would be possible to hook up the HPGE to a normal soundcard spectrometer to save cost on a professional one.
Any ideas if its possible, what the output signal looks like, or if anyone has done this before?
Regards
Jonathan
