Hi there,
My name is Matthias Rosezky and I'm a master's student in physical energy and measurement engineering. I've been active in the open-source software and hardware scene for a couple of years now and in the course of this also slowly developed an interest in gamma spectroscopy, detectors and other things in this direction. I recently successfully completed my first scintillation detector build from scratch and with that some other (hopefully) helpful stuff, all of which is open source too.
Great to be part of this forum now, wanted to join for a very long time but I was always somehow discouraged by the need to send an international SMS for the SPAM protection. Looked up the price today and figured I shouldn't have waited this long only because of 0.2 Euros :D
I'm going to look for the right boards and maybe I'll be posting more info on some of the stuff I've been working on if I may :)

Welcome to the forum, it sounds like you have come to the right place. Make sure to share your own experiences as well as reading up on other peoples experiments, it keeps the forum alive.
Sorry about the spambot counter measures, but it's the only method that works, we haven't had a single spammer since I replaced the captcha with my mobile number.
