The User ID is an old film speed.
When I graduated high school, they were still making lenses with Thorium in the glass.
I've wanted a Geiger counter since I saw one in the 5th Grade but never got one until this spring, when my home that was for sale, flunked a Radon test. $900 Radon pump later, I am convinced that it is EPA Voodoo Science.
I have a 2" GAMMA SCINTILLATION DETECTOR w/Bicron BC-412 coming from irad along with
a GS-1100A Gamma Spectrometry Driver from beejewel
I hope to get an education from you guys.

Re: 25asa
Daryl,
Welcome to the forum, and yes you should soon have your GS-1100A to start experimenting with. Radon and naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) is is a problem in specific areas and it may well be that your place has lot's of it, a blessing if you are into spectrometry ;)
I remember the old film speeds well, 25asa was slow and fine grained, is that how we should think of you?
It might be more personal if you changed your login to "Daryl D" you can edit this in the user control panel.
