Maybe in another thread, could you explain how radiation detection is used in the oil industry? At least to me, it is not obvious why you have some of the tools you have, and what data you deliver to your superiors and what kind of decisions they make based upon it.
I love the ultra-stable setup for the measurement.... electrician's tape is indeed everything you need!
