Hi guys,
I like to share a few gamma spectra I registered using my new LBC detector. Regards, Alfred

Alfred,
Great looking spectra, after looking at NaI spectra it feels like putting on a pair of glasses, you suddenly see more.
Did you see much evidence of internal counts? Sometimes LaBr3 can be quite noisy around the 1100 1200 keV.
Nice to see the old GS-1100A is still going strong 👍

Hi Steven,
Thanks. Indeed LaBr3 unfortunately is not free from internal noise mainly due to Actinium beta's. But it is mainly present in the higher ranges, around 2000-2400 keV. Subtracting background is useful sometimes. Regards, Alfred
