Hello,
this potassium iodide has a weak spektrum. So i tried to get the spectrum of 50 grams.
The molar mass of K = 39.0983 g/mol , molar mass of I = 126.90447 g/mol. 39.098 / 126.90 = 0.236.
So there are 11.8 grams of K. Potassium has 31.2 Bq/g. This are 367.4 Bq/g total. Only 10.72% are gamma decay.
Now the probe has 39.39 Bq. Theoretically.

The background was 18.1 cps , the potassium iodide gives 20.3 cps. With my small program I calculate.

This invoice is based on a release from 1954 in german language.

My measurement is not far off.

Very nice spectrum! Do you have resolution-compensation switched on?
