Kiddie toy ceramic kitchenware

Post by gwgw » 28 Sep 2019, 08:14

I decided to take a spectrum of my little daughter's kitchenware, that little porcelain stuff, three small plates, just for fun.

Those weighed just about 99 grams. Gave respectable 5.1 CPS which is about the same as the granite samples I gathered this summer from the mountains the same weight. Not much anyway. Predominantly thorium spectrum with some uranium decay products. 24h measurement with background extraction, unfortunately temperature drift made it worse :(
