Mirion PDS 100G, Spectrometric Personal Radiation Detector
Re: Mirion PDS 100G, Spectrometric Personal Radiation Detector
Some corrections .
Acquisition can be paused and saved .
Pdsmass will still display spectrum
Acquisition time can adjusted to a less than a minute if required at the expense of poor resolution.

Hi Taray,
Seems you're looking for the peak at 583keV from Tl208 decay which is visible in your spectrum.

Yes
These pics below were done at 600 sec acq time compared to 300 sec earlier .
Resolution appears similar
The log version identifies the peaks well.

A few closing remarks to this long discussion
Bluetooth connectivity type varies from one windows type to another .
Usually pairing is done through the windows Bluetooth section .
Then one can connect directly through the Pdsmass .No need to pair again next time.
Once successfully paired it will remain connected in the windows Bluetooth .Most of my Bluetooth devices behave in this way and so I reckon this is the norm.
In my Windows 64 bit version it pairs and then disconnects.I thought pairing was a failure.
Just go ahead and login through Pdsmass using the right Bluetooth incoming com port. It will be connected .
I am not as computer savvy as I initially thought or maybe it’s just me
Another correction.
Sorry guys

Re: Mirion PDS 100G, Spectrometric Personal Radiation Detector
Hi everyone, I just received this device today. I tested it out a bit and compared my results with my Geiger counter radioscan-701A and the results were really different. I think that I need to calibrate it. Does anyone have any softwares they could recommend for that, because my seller did not tell me.

Thank you, Taray for suggesting that. However, I already ordered the software and I'm waiting for it to arrive. When I calibrate it I will share my experience here. I am writing here because I can't write in PM. Can the administrator please give me access to that feature.

The seller will send you the sottware inclusive of manual,Pdsmass and registration codes if you specifically ask for it.
Provided you write a positive feedback.
Kinda like a small bribe.
Of course you can get it from the present users here.
As for the doserate variation I compared mine with Exploranium 130 which was recently calibrated by Irian Kumar in Canadian lab according to regulations.
The values were within acceptable range.

Re: Mirion PDS 100G, Spectrometric Personal Radiation Detector
I purchased this device some time ago, I got a CD with the software but the seller claimed he doesn't have any serial numbers.
I tried to contact the software seller but, as a private person, I was completely ignored.
Could anyone here advice me please how to get the full software functionality?
